The next listed harvest is November 8

Brewster’s Oyster Sunday program continues at Mants Landing through the fall, but the harvesting window changes from week to week. After the November 1 morning window, the town’s next listed session is Sunday, November 8, from 2:30–4:30 p.m.

The published schedule then lists November 15 from 8–10:30 a.m. and November 22 from 1:30–4:17 p.m. All times are local. These are the town’s scheduled harvest windows, not a report that any session has taken place or a guarantee against a later change.

Arrive with a permit and wait for staff

The Natural Resources Department’s October 15 announcement requires a valid 2026 recreational shellfish permit. It directs participants to wait in the parking lot while staff prepare the cages and check permits before anyone heads onto the flats.

The weekly allowance is five quarts of oysters; the schedule also gives a minimum oyster length of three inches. The town recommends gloves, boots or waders, and clothing suited to the weather. Permits are available through the official online link or at Town Hall, with the announcement directing eligible senior permit purchases to the Council on Aging.

A food drive shares the November 22 session

The schedule marks November 22 for a DNR food drive and asks participants to bring nonperishable food for local families. Contact the department for its requested items before shopping.

One detail needs a direct check: the November 29 row shows a 7 a.m. start but leaves the harvest closing time blank. Do not infer an end time from the listed low tide or a different Sunday. For that date, a change in conditions or permit questions, contact the Natural Resources Department at 508-896-4546. The official announcement and schedule below are the starting points for planning a visit.
