An Evening To Explore Local Clubs
Families considering a local activity for children can meet Barnstable County 4-H members and leaders at a free open house on Friday, November 13. The county announced the event on October 27.
It runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Mary Pat Flynn Conference Room at the Barnstable County Complex, 3195 Main Street, Barnstable. The invitation covers young people ages 5–18, families and adults interested in volunteering. Previous 4-H participation is not required.
What To Know Before Going
The evening includes rocket activities with a Massachusetts 4-H STEM specialist and time to ask club leaders and members about joining. Organizers ask visitors to attend the full session, and a parent or caregiver must remain with participating youth.
Registration is encouraged for planning, but walk-ins are welcome. Use the registration link in the county announcement for parking information and a complex map. Questions can go to Youth Extension Educator Sandi Shepherd-Gay at 508-375-6696. Check the county page before travelling for any schedule changes.
