A deadline before the hearing
Bourne residents who want to send written comments about the upcoming utility-pole hearing have until noon on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The attached official notice directs comments to msimone@bourne-ma.gov. The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 7 p.m. Its venue is the Bourne Veteran’s Memorial Community Center in Buzzards Bay (239 Main Street), and residents can also join by Zoom.
The Select Board’s notice identifies Verizon New England and Eversource Energy as the petitioners. It invites the public to attend and comment and says proposed-location maps are available from the Select Board’s office.
Two new requests, alongside continued business
The town’s October 30 web notice identifies new conduit work proposed for Tower Lane. A second new request concerns Washington Avenue and Electric Avenue: moving three jointly owned poles, adding a guy and anchor, and installing one new jointly owned pole. The attached PDF describes the same two requests.
Other utility matters are continued from the October 27 hearing. These are proposed changes under review; the hearing notice does not announce that installation has been approved or scheduled.
Check the document for your street
The webpage and attached PDF differ on part of the continued-business list: the webpage names Clay Pond Road, while the PDF lists County Road. Residents following either location should ask the Select Board’s office for the current petition and map. Use the official notice below for the remote-access details, and include the relevant street when submitting a comment.
