A chance to shape the starting priorities
Orleans will hear public views on its Fiscal Year 2028 budget on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The Select Board and Finance Committee are holding the joint hearing in the Nauset Meeting Room at Town Hall, with Zoom participation also offered.
The town’s October 30 announcement invites residents, businesses and community organizations to identify the services, programs and investments they value. FY28 covers July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028. The hearing comes before spending plans are drafted.
The board meeting starts earlier
The posted Select Board agenda begins at 5 p.m.; the budget hearing is the separately timed 5:30 p.m. item. Review of the FY28 budget policy and calendar appears immediately before it. Use the agenda’s computer or telephone joining instructions for remote participation. Town Hall is at 19 School Road.
This is a priorities hearing, rather than an announced vote on a completed budget. A useful contribution identifies the service or investment you want considered and the local need behind it. Check the official notice and agenda again before attending.
