Applications are open in Buzzards Bay
Housing Assistance is accepting lottery applications for nine income-restricted condominiums at Cape Crossings, 2 Kendall Rae Place, Buzzards Bay. The deadline is December 22, 2026, at 5 p.m.; an online information session is scheduled for November 23 at 6 p.m. The drawing date remains to be announced.
The program generally requires first-time homebuyers, with specified exceptions, household income no higher than 80 percent of area median income and assets below $75,000. Housing Assistance publishes the household-size income limits and offers language assistance and reasonable accommodations.
Price is only part of the commitment
The application lists three one-bedroom homes at $209,700 with a $247.56 monthly association fee; five two-bedroom homes at $236,700 with a $272.32 fee; and one three-bedroom home at $263,500 with a $297.07 fee.
Applicants need mortgage preapproval. The application also explains an affordability deed restriction, principal-residence requirement and limits on resale. Selection in the lottery does not guarantee a purchase: income certification, financing and the other requirements still apply.
Review the full application and deed-restriction summary before committing. The document recommends discussing the restriction with an attorney and lender.
