The announced counting step
Falmouth’s Town Clerk says two election workers will begin a hand count at 1:30 p.m. on November 9, 2026. They will continue until the eligible ballots are counted.
The November 6 notice specifies ballots for the November 3 state election that were postmarked no later than Election Day and received before 5 p.m. on November 6. It is a counting announcement, not an extension of that receipt deadline.
Results remain provisional
The clerk’s separate results notice labels the town’s published figures unofficial. It identifies eligible overseas and military ballots, reconciliation and Board of Registrars certification among the remaining steps. Certified figures will be posted after that process; this announcement does not establish any final race result.
